JUST Got My DSK Package

JUST opened my package I got from Steph of DSK jewelry and OMG I am in love...wow.  It is the CUTEST thing I have EVER gotten.  First off, the Rice Krispie Treat and the strawberry candy thing haha.  Then the very handy Chap Stick, AND one of the best things...MY LITTLE PONY CARD!  Oh Damn.  Oh, love love.  But of course the highlight was upon receiving my Ear Threads and 18mm Clear Ab Heart.  Okay, they are fabulous I if you are reading this right now ORDER SOMETHING.  C'mon, the CAPS lock is working in overload at the moment.

Here are some pictures that are of minimal quality because my camera is being odd but amazing :)

Breaking Free

I was able to attend and perform at a poetry slam April 3rd in Hartford and it was a complete rush. I absolutly loved and maybe I wasn't as strong as some of the other AMAZING poets out there. The high of standing in the spotlight was ridiculous. First round I got a 26.7, able to make it to the second round of only eight competitors. There were twenty two in the first round. I came in fifth the first round. Also, Sheehan basically dominated the entire competition. I have no idea my placing in the last round because I left right after to go to work. Well it happens. If anyone out there is every interested in this, do it. Don't hesitate because it is worth every second, every syllable.
Here is a line of something I am working on now:
"Because i am a reflection of the girl who wants to dream, the girl who wants to break out of this world and scream victory finally, save me from this misery"

poem #1

Breakable.
That’s what we are.
Beings never knowing exactly
How far we will go
Just to get the sensational taste
Of sin.
That bitter sweet,
Delectable sting,
It crosses your lips,
Lingers on your wavering tongue,
never lasting long.
The high you get
just from a simple, yet satiable sample of
Of poison.
We are giving in,
Will power never sank in.
Futile, weak,
Our meager bodies cannot control
The yearning for something more.
It’s human nature.
How can we fight it?
The calling always hinders
Our judgment to the core.
The ceiling’s down.
The floor is up.
Impairment of reality,
Masked by words Of banality.
Take off the blindfold,
Untie the noose
Because we’re hanging ourselves
Dry.

Heylo

Holly told me to follow her blog, so then I made one. So, I have no idea what I am going to say on here because I don't really have anything that exciting to say to any of you. Sorry. I guess I will post some of my poems and whatever else comes to mind.
